Lisa Wheeler
Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
About me
Before starting my practice, I studied integrative counselling for four years in Peterborough.
I have worked within the NHS, MIND, and two local counselling charities.
I currently work with the 8:56 Foundation in King’s Lynn.
I am a registered member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), so have regular supervision meetings and am committed to continual professional development.
I have additional training in mental health first aid, and applied suicide intervention skills training.
I am an integrative counsellor, through my training in different approaches, so have flexibility in how we work together. Through the therapeutic relationship, we will find a way that works best for you and may explore techniques and tools to help you manage or navigate difficult situations. I am unable to offer advice, as I work with the client’s agenda, but I will offer different perspectives, and ask open questions to prompt reflection – all within a confidential and safe space.
